Each AquaVeil® draws on this vast knowledge to incorporate high quality components and equipment, creating water features that are both beautifully engineered, and beautiful to look at.

To ensure your AquaVeil® reaches its full potential, an easy-to-follow operation and maintenance manual is provided upon installation.


Size Considerations

The AquaVeil ® requires a specific minimum size reservoir at the base of the water wall, which varies depending on the size and installation.

The water wall mesh enters the reservoir on the centreline, so you typically have 300mm of reservoir in front and behind the mesh.

The reservoir is designed so that it can be installed on the ground, within the ground or in-between


Typical Minimum Reservoir Dimensions:

– Depth : 600mm from front to back.

– Width : 250mm wider than the width of the mesh

– Height : 400mm without automatic water top up

– Height : 300mm with automatic water top up

Installation

The mesh used for the water wall is flexible, meaning that it can be easily rolled up, transported and moved to its installation point. This has huge benefits for fitting water walls into areas where there is limited access.

The AquaVeil® typically comes complete with all parts required for installation, however, there may be some parts required for your individual fitting that are not included, such as cable joints or fixings specific to your building.

The water wall comes in component form which enables you to screw and bolt the parts together and easily set up the water feature. The metal mesh for the AquaVeil® is then fitted, the electrical work is completed, and then the feature is filled with water, and turned on.



AquaVeil® lighting system

Lighting is a key part of the overall effect of the AquaVeil®. Through an extensive development process, in collaboration with a specialist lighting design studio, the water wall was tested and refined until the perfect bespoke lighting system could be created.

The system is designed to fit into the top and/or bottom of the water wall, depending on the size and environment of the installation. The high powered, slim line LED lighting system is manufactured in aluminium and powder coated with a dedicated lighting driver. The lights are IP65 and the driver IP67. The cable length for the lights is tailored to your requirements.

A connection between the light cable and the lighting driver needs to be made when installing on site. The driver requires a 240V ac supply with suitable switching and protection, as provided within the manual.


The mechanics

The system includes solvent welded pipework and valve control with unions for easy pipe removal.  There is a submersible pump with flow control. The pump cables exit the reservoir through a cable gland. The length of cable on the outside of the reservoir depends on the width of the mesh water wall.



The fixings

The fixings required will depends on the style. For The Enigma and the Paradox , the water wall is generally free standing, but requires structural anchoring at the top. This could be to a wall or the ceiling.

The Quantum style is bespoke and is installed on a project by project basis. The AquaVeil® team will work with you to ensure the water wall is installed correctly.


Electrical supplies

Depending on the bespoke design, generally there are three electrical supplies required, covering: the water wall pump, the filtration system pump, and the lighting. All require a 240Vac supply and appropriate switching and protection as detailed within the equipment installation manuals, and relevant electrical regulations. The water feature installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
